This Monday was officially the first day of summer. That means that whatever intense work you were doing during the winter has probably subsided.
So what next?
Well, this is my first post of my new confidence series. Every so often I will post either about a confident state of mind, confident body, or confident and clean health. I am super excited!
When you start breaking away from routine schedules (of any sort) you begin reflecting on that time. Be it good or bad your mind replays scenarios, “what if I had done it this way?” or “ugh I really should’ve done it better”. Guess what? You can’t change anything that’s already happened. The only thing you can do is look at what went wrong and figure out a way to make the situation better. First of all, it’s summer! Relax, try some new things, new food, new workouts (new post about nyc ones coming soon), and new places.
Personally confidence is something I have been working a lot on; in my voice and my opinion. I’m not shy, but I’m not the first to lay out their thought process in front of everybody’s eyes. It takes time for people to see where I am coming from because I dish out little snippets of information that eventually form my opinion.
I am proud of who I am, what I’ve done, and proud to say that I am somebody who loves working out, loves eating, and definitely struggles with self-confidence. At the end of the day you are the one who has to live with what you’ve done, and hopefully reflecting makes you proud not regretful.
Having someone tell you to be more confident in yourself is easier said than done. It doesn’t just happen overnight. It’s something that takes some effort to work on. Sometimes it’s nice to just spend time with yourself, you can do things you want to do without the pressure of being expected to do something right.
Happy first week of summer!
